About the Grizzly bear
The grizzly is the North American subspecies of the brown bear and one of the continent’s largest land predators. In the Canadian Rockies the animals move to open valleys in summer and to the salmon rivers in autumn. With a guide or from a vehicle you see them most in the early morning and late afternoon.
Not threatened as a species, but local populations face pressure from habitat loss and conflicts with people.
