Can I see polar bear and whale in one trip?

Only in September with compromises: end of the whale season in BC and early bears in Churchill. For both at their best you need 2 trips.

How do I get to Churchill?

By plane (2.5 hours from Winnipeg) or train (2 days). No roads lead there. Book packages including transfers.

Do I need a visa?

An eTA online beforehand, a few minutes of work and about 7 Canadian dollars. Without an eTA you do not board the plane.

When are the orcas there?

July to September in Johnstone Strait. Resident orcas follow the salmon, with daily sightings in August.

Is Canada expensive?

Middle of the road. Count on 150 to 250 euros per day for 2 people with a rental car and motels. Churchill packages are pricey because of the remote location.
