About the Gentoo penguin
Antarctica is the only place for penguins without fences, without trails and without other tourists than your shipmates. Gentoo penguins breed in colonies of thousands of pairs on black beaches among icebergs. Expedition cruises land twice a day with zodiacs, with a strict 5-meter rule that the penguins themselves ignore.
Not threatened. The gentoo is even growing on the Antarctic Peninsula thanks to milder winters.
