About the Polar bear

Churchill in Manitoba is not called the polar bear capital of the world for nothing. Every autumn hundreds of bears wait along Hudson Bay for the ice, just kilometres from town. Tundra vehicles standing 2 meters high bring you within dozens of meters of sparring males.

Vulnerable. About 26,000 polar bears in 19 populations, 4 declining through shorter ice seasons.
